Bright blue with some green in this ‘free-form’ drop shaped opal from the Mintabie (South Australia) opal field. Just right for a ring or pendant stone! (This opal has a sandstone spot, which is very common for Mintabie opal, it doesn’t devalue the opal). Opal size is 10.2 x 20.6 x 3.73 mm and weight is 4.75carats, 0.95grams.
We photographed the opal on a piece of polished Mintabie specimen opal.(see S0150) for the specimen!
